New Puppy Pictures

Weather is a great metaphor for life — sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella. ~Terri Guillemets

Today we are experiencing thunderstorms in Macomb. It's better than snow and freezing rain...

Breaker and Windy's puppies are growing and getting cuter by the day. They've been moved to larger quarters and now are able to spend a lot of time roaming around and exploring, playing with each other and with their toys. Mostly though, they still like to make a puppy pile and sleep.

We'll start weaning them next week and take it slow. Windy is showing no signs of wanting to spend time elsewhere.

They have also now been given names so we are able to distinguish one from the other. It is certainly difficult with the 5 gold ones. At first glance they all look alike!

Here are their photos at age 5 weeks (today).

And here are Cherry and Sassy

Our son,  Trevor, visited last week and took some video of a couple of the puppies involved in a "puppy battle," as we call them. That video is on my Facebook page if you want to see it.

As you know, we are also expecting a new litter any day now. The sire is GCh. Joyslyn's Inherit the Wind (Rafe). Dam is Ch. Joyslyn's Moonlight Magic (Maggie). See photos below:

And here is the puppies' first picture:

How many puppies do you count?

Rafe and Maggie had a litter in December 2012. One of the three puppies in that litter was Ella. Her family recently sent me her Valentine picture. She's a charmer.

Ella, after a trip to the groomer for her Valentine spa day!
It's been a long week of weather. First we had freezing rain that coated everything with thick ice. Then we had a few inches of snow. Then we had 53 degree temps that melted some of the snow and ice. Today we have lots of rain. I'm not complaining...you don't have shovel rain. It's been awfully tiring. I think these guys have the right idea:

Yes, life is better when you have a Lhasa to love you!
