A Tribute To A Special Dog

In Loving Memory of

Grand Champion, Champion
Joyslyn's Heartbreaker
(AKA "Breaker")

August 11, 2008 - January 8, 2026

Breaker's Sire and Dam were CH San-Dhi Joyslyn Icon ("Connor") and CH Joyslyn's Secrets of The Heart ("Secret").

Breaker was indeed a dog of our hearts. He lived with us until he was 12 years old. One day I received a call from my friend Jill. Her male Lhasa had passed away a few months earlier and she was missing him and hoping to find another male Lhasa to love. She did not want a puppy. I knew how well Jill loved and took care of her Lhasas. I told her about Breaker and she asked if she could have him and promised to love and take good care of him. I had to clear things with my husband first since Breaker was "his" dog. Once I had Lynn's approval, Breaker and I left for Indiana.

Yes, our home seemed empty with him gone, but Jill was great about sending videos throughout the time that Breaker was hers. He slept in her bed, ran through the grassy backyard, took walks with Jill and Shadow, Jill's female Lhasa. I could not have asked for a more perfect home for him.

Thank you, Jill.

I wanted to share some photos of Breaker from early years through his show career.

The first is of Breaker and his male littermates, ages 3-5 weeks. The second is of him ages 6- 11 weeks. And the third is of him, ages 3-7 months.

Another major win at the TCLAC Specialty!

A picture of Breaker's outline and coat. What a beautiful Lhasa!

Breaker's first Group placement and first points on his way to the Grand Championship.

Gathering more points toward that GCH!

And more....

Another at-home picture of his lovely coat and outline.

Once home and resting on his laurels, Breaker occasionally went to shows to compete as a Veteran. That competition is for dogs ages 7 and above.
This photo was taken when Breaker won the Best Veteran in Show competition in May 2017.

Once retired, Breaker continued to produce beautiful puppies. He was 12 when he went to live with Jill and Shadow, where he enjoyed the second act of a good life for a good, good dog.

Thank you again Jill, for loving him as you did, as I knew you would.

Many of you who have Joyslyn's Lhasas will probably find Breaker's name somewhere on the pedigree I gave you when you came to get your puppy.

Rest in Peace Dear Boy. Thanks for the memories.
