"How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow."

Leaves, leaves, everywhere leaves! Our Lhasas have been vacuuming leaves into their coats and bringing them indoors, where neither the leaves nor the tasks of removing them from coats are appreciated. The dogs are enjoying the brisk weather though.
On one side of our house is a beautiful red maple tree. It belongs to our neighbor. Our neighbor to the north has a huge oak tree in her front yard. Please tell me why that, no matter which way the wind blows, our yard ends up with all their oak and maple leaves? Our neighbor across the street has a lawn service, so last Saturday he got rid of all the maples leaves from our lawn. Two days later, we had rain, some snow, and wind. Then the oak tree decided to shed its leaves. We can no longer see our grass!
I've received (and taken) some Lhasa pictures I want to share this week.
First, Sarah sent me a picture of Mira enjoying the first snow.

I also received a photo from Laurie, who has three Joyslyn's Lhasas. Zora looks gorgeous wearing her blue hair bow! (She thinks so too!)

I finally decided that I needed some recent photos of Lila, now 6 months old. She is a sweetheart and can be a little dickens. She watched the cat bound up the stairs, learned by observation, and every chance she gets, up she goes -- usually chasing the cat, who is now quite perturbed that he can no longer get away from her. She'll be going to her first shows in 3 weeks. That should be an experience! I know all these pictures look much the same, but she is so darn cute, I just could not help it!
I received the two show photos of Windy.

Then this picture of Windy was posted on Facebook. It was taken the day she got her 2nd major.
And that is it for photos and updates!
My next big challenges are the Thanksgiving menu, grocery shopping, and badgering my family for their Christmas wish lists!
Life is better when you have a Lhasa to love you! Cuddle up with yours and stay warm and cozy during these chilly fall nights!
